About the Company

A well-established multinational software company with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative Trade Finance solutions to leading financial institutions worldwide is seeking a motivated and experienced Functional Specialist to join our Software Development and Customer Support team in Indonesia.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Trade Finance professional to work closely with international banking clients, supporting the implementation, enhancement and ongoing development of Trade Finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Trade Finance customer support, including Site Surveys, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and on-site implementation support.

• Deliver Trade Finance product training to customers and internal teams.

• Analyse Trade Finance business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

• Perform interface and enhancement design analysis.

• Design interfaces and product enhancements.

• Prepare detailed functional and technical specifications.

• Support the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

• Provide sales and pre-sales support in accordance with company sales methodology.

• Manage and develop relationships with existing customer accounts.

• Support territorial business development activities.

• Participate in and contribute to RFP and proposal responses.

• Work closely with Product, Development, Project Management and Support teams to ensure successful customer delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in Trade Finance, preferably within a banking environment or Trade Finance technology organization.

• Strong understanding of Trade Finance products and processes, including:

• Letters of Credit
• Funds Transfers
• Documentary Collections
• Bank Guarantees
• Financing

• Practical experience with SWIFT messaging relating to Letters of Credit, Funds Transfers, Documentary Collections and Guarantees.

• Hands-on experience with BankTrade or another Trade Finance back-office solution is highly desirable.

• A degree or relevant qualification in Banking, Finance, Business or a related discipline is an advantage.

• Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.

• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and listening skills.

• Well organised, self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision.

• Fast learner with a proactive and flexible approach.

• Strong team player with a high level of professionalism and work ethic.

• Willing and able to undertake short-notice and extensive international travel when required.

• Willing to work additional hours when required to meet customer and project commitments.

• Located in Indonesia and legally authorized to work in Indonesia.
